About the role
At Jewish Care, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Every day they give their time, compassion and skills to support older people, people living with dementia, adults with disabilities and members of our wider community. We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to help deliver an exceptional volunteering experience from first enquiry through to onboarding and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Manage volunteer enquiries via our shared inbox and telephone line.
- Support volunteer recruitment and onboarding, ensuring applications, references, DBS checks and compliance documentation are processed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records using our volunteer management system.
- Cook up volunteer induction and training sessions, including bookings, attendance monitoring and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate volunteer induction and training sessions, including bookings, attendance monitoring and follow-up communications.
- Upload volunteering opportunities to recruitment platforms and maintain enquiry tracking information.
- Support meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes and providing general administrative assistance.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with volunteers, colleagues and external contacts.
- Help improve administrative processes that enhance the volunteer experience.
Requirements
- You'll be a highly organised administrator who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy environment.
- You'll have excellent attention to detail and be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a friendly, professional approach.
- You'll Bring Experience in an administrative or office support role.
- You'll have Experience managing shared inboxes or high-volume communications.
- You'll have Strong organisational and time management skills.
- You'll have Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You'll have A high level of accuracy when entering and maintaining data.
- You'll have Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- You'll have The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
- You'll have A commitment to delivering excellent customer service with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
- You'll Have Experience of volunteer administration or using volunteer management or CRM systems such as Better Impact would be an advantage but isn't essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay
This post is working 3 days per week (22.5 hours) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute break.
