As part of this transformation, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) have joined to form Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multifaceted and innovative team, collaborating with and delivering support to an array of stakeholders and across digital systems. Reporting to the Analyst Business Partner, you will be a flexible team player and possess excellent communication, organisational and digital skills to enable the provision of support to the Practice Education and Pre-Registration Programme, its digital systems, users and stakeholders.
Working within the Education Quality – Directorate Innovation and Enablement Team (EQ DIET), you will have the opportunity to bring your unique skills and experience to provide comprehensive administration support across several areas of work.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administration support across multiple areas of work within the Education Quality – Directorate Innovation and Enablement Team.
- Support the Practice Education and Pre-Registration Programme, including its digital systems, users, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and across a multidisciplinary team.
- Problem-solve and offer advice and support where appropriate.
- Work at pace and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Deal with correspondence and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- A well-developed and experienced skill set to confidently deliver on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working in an administration role or equivalent, including dealing with correspondence and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A high level of interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and communication skills (both verbally and in writing).
- Strong digital and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care, and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary.
- Ability to work on own initiative, organise and prioritise own workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
It is not essential to be in an Admin Officer role right now—you may be returning from a career break (e.g., maternity, paternity, caring) or coming from another field. Your experiences can bring a fresh perspective to our work.

Schedule
Fixed Term, Full Time, 36 hours per week. Fixed-term or secondment until 31 March 2027.
For NHS applicants, an NHS secondment will be offered in the first instance. For non-NHS applicants, a fixed-term or secondment would be considered.
