ADM High School Associate 26-27

ADM High School is seeking dynamic, passionate student-focused associates for 9th-12th grade levels. The staff at DeSoto Intermediate is caring and collaborative. The approximate schedule is 7:30am–3:45pm Monday–Thursday and 7:30am–1:15pm Friday.

About the role

The associate assists the teacher in supporting specific learning goals by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material.
• Address a wide range of needs, including academic, behavioral, and social.
• Read to students, listen to students read, and participate in other forms of oral communication.
• Guide students toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their behavior.
• Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
• Alert the regular teacher to any problem or special information regarding an individual student.
• Supervise students during arrival, recess, dismissal, and lunch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.
