Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Kennedy International Center - IAS 351R (Evening School)
About the Role
The Adjunct Teaching position at Kennedy International Center - IAS 351R focuses on teaching Model United Nations courses, supervising policy writing, training teaching assistants, and supporting program participants at national and international conferences.
Responsibilities
- Teach IAS 351: Model United Nations course, including lectures, case studies, exercises, and assignments
- Supervise policy writing course activities, including position papers, research assignments, Background Guides, and other documents
- Train and mentor teaching assistants to support the student learning experience through quality instruction, mentoring, and continuity
- Support program participants at national and international Model UN conferences as needed, uphold university policies, and support program goals
Requirements
- Understanding of diplomacy, global issues, international relations, and the United Nations/international organizations
- Background in policy, advocacy, human rights, or international law preferred
- Familiarity with Brigham Young University policy and procedure
Qualifications
- Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree, JD preferred
- Experience: Must be completed by the start date
