Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Orlando Pediatrics (Peds) Clinical/Lab – Nursing

About the Role

Grand Canyon University invites applications for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members to teach and mentor pre-licensure nursing students. This PRN position involves travel within Orlando (Lake Mary), Florida, to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content, teaching essential knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written assignments and clinical performance check-offs.
• Stay updated on new trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Ensure compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Uphold the holistic principles of nursing and the University’s mission, philosophy, and direction.
• Travel to student sites to directly observe and assess student performance.
• Support the University’s programs and community service initiatives.
• Model the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Qualifications

• MSN required for clinicals and labs.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in pediatrics (Peds) nursing.
• Active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license.
• Must pass a drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
