Adjunct Research Support

Duties/Responsibilities

• Preparing resources and materials for research activities.
• Collecting data (e.g., surveys, interviews and focus groups).
• Analyzing quantitative and qualitative results.

Requirements

• Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Some research experience, either through a social science or public health research methods course or practical experience in a research laboratory.
• Students majoring in psychology, sociology, public health, or a health-related field.
• Must be dedicated to PIRC's mission of ending interpersonal violence.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Research experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods, including the use of survey software (e.g., Qualtrics) and analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Atlas.ti).
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, and to problem-solve technical and methodological issues that arise during research.
  • Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding research on sensitive topics and the submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Professional oral/written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive) and CANVA.
  • Foundational knowledge of violence prevention.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $15-18 per hour. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
