About the role
The Department of Social and Psych Science at Richard J. Daley College is seeking a Psychology Adjunct to begin the Fall Semester 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Psychology, maintaining office hours for advising, mentoring, and coaching students.
- Develop and revise courses and instructional materials as needed.
- Post syllabi and grades on Blackboard.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Psychology or other social scientific discipline, with significant course work in Psychology (preferred).
- A MA in Psychology, or other social scientific discipline, with appropriate course work in Psychology (minimum requirement).
- Excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process, and ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed.
- Focus on effective teaching, assessment of student learning, and continuous growth in the field of study.
- Expertise in student-centered teaching; facility with instructional technology, including Blackboard Learning Management System; and a commitment to professional development in teaching.
Requirements
This position may require fully teaching in-person, as hybrid schedules are not guaranteed.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $800.00 - $943.00 per contact hour.
Schedule
Contact hours are determined by the number of contact hours taught each semester.
