Houston Christian University invites applications for Adjunct Professor of Visual Arts in the Department of Visual Arts, part of the School of Fine Arts. The department offers degrees in Bachelor of Fine Arts – Studio Art, Bachelor of Arts – Studio Art, Master of Fine Arts – Studio Art, and Bachelor of Science – All Level Teacher Certification in Art.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses based on expertise and need, including studio art courses, undergraduate art history courses, and art appreciation.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- MFA or PhD from an accredited university.
- Distinguished record and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Ability to clearly express how their Christian faith enriches, guides, and under-girds their understanding of creative art.
- Ability to articulate a vision for the role of their discipline at HCU that is supportive of the Ten Pillars 2030.
