Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead instructor for lecture and laboratory components of PTA coursework.
- Facilitate student learning and progression in achieving both theoretical knowledge and clinical performance competencies.
- Develop relevant, evidence-based instructional materials that support student learning outcomes and national accreditation standards.
- Deliver engaging classroom and laboratory instruction that reflects current best practices in orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
- Afford timely communication, feedback, and academic support to students.
- Participate in continuous professional development and demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning.
- Collaborate effectively with PTA faculty and staff to support program quality and student achievement.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher required; degree in Physical Therapy or related field preferred.
- Current New York State PT or PTA license required.
- Strong clinical background in orthopedics and musculoskeletal rehabilitation required.
- Teaching experience at the high school, college, or clinical education level preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively instruct and evaluate student learning and laboratory performance.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, curriculum enhancement, and student-centered instruction.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement and application of best practices.
Pay
Salary: $55 to $65 per contact hour. Generally, courses range between 15 to 45 contact hours so the salary range for this exempt position would be between $825.00 - $2,925.00.
