About the role
The School Of Visual And Performing Arts is currently seeking individuals to teach the Contemporary/Modern Dance course with expertise in teaching Graham and Horton techniques, integrating foundational principles of Laban notation and improvisational tools into contemporary dance training.
Responsibilities
- Teach Contemporary/Modern Dance course with expertise in Graham and Horton techniques, integrating Laban notation and improvisational tools.
- Foster both technical proficiency and creative exploration in students.
- Deliver the course(s) in person or online in assigned time blocks.
- Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.
- Communicate with the dean or other administrators if issues arise concerning the teaching of specific classes.
- Provide samples of student work that may be used for assessment purposes.
- Use the Endicott email when communicating with students outside of class.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree is required.
- College-level teaching experience is preferred.
Pay
Compensation per course is $1,100.
Schedule
Courses meet in person. Each section meets for 1 hr and 50 minutes a week.
