About the role

The School Of Visual And Performing Arts is currently seeking individuals to teach the Contemporary/Modern Dance course with expertise in teaching Graham and Horton techniques, integrating foundational principles of Laban notation and improvisational tools into contemporary dance training.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Contemporary/Modern Dance course with expertise in Graham and Horton techniques, integrating Laban notation and improvisational tools.
  • Foster both technical proficiency and creative exploration in students.
  • Deliver the course(s) in person or online in assigned time blocks.
  • Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.
  • Communicate with the dean or other administrators if issues arise concerning the teaching of specific classes.
  • Provide samples of student work that may be used for assessment purposes.
  • Use the Endicott email when communicating with students outside of class.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree is required.
  • College-level teaching experience is preferred.

Pay

Compensation per course is $1,100.

Schedule

Courses meet in person. Each section meets for 1 hr and 50 minutes a week.
