Adjunct Professor - California School of Management & Leadership: MBA Program - LA Campus Candidate

About the Role
The California School of Management and Leadership (CSML) has over 35 years of history, with an alumni base spread globally across diverse industries and organizations in more than 50 countries. CSML is recognized for its multicultural and multinational education, focusing on professional practice, applied theory, and contemporary techniques to prepare tomorrow’s global leaders. The school is expanding its ground programs, online modality, and geographic reach across Alliant’s California campuses. Courses are enriched by a global dimension, with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds, including working professionals, international students, and former U.S. military personnel.
Applicants to this position will be considered for a candidate pool encompassing one or more subject areas. This pool will identify qualified candidates for potential appointments during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom and distance/distributed learning.
- Prepare courses and syllabi, coordinate and plan curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate learners.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Hold office hours and meet with students.
- Collaborate with university stakeholders to support student success.
- Make administrative and procedural decisions.
Qualifications
- Master’s, doctoral, or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university, depending on course requirements.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience for candidates with a master’s degree; two (2) years for candidates with a doctoral degree.
- Experience in the areas of specialization and expertise required for the course being taught.

Courses
Adjunct professors may teach in the following programs/courses at the Los Angeles campus (MBA Program):
- Hospitality Management
- Strategic Marketing Management
- Capstone: Management in a New Age
- Technology for Managerial Decision Making
Each course runs for 8 weeks, with 1 additional week for preparation and 1 additional week for grading. Courses meet one day per week for 4 hours or follow an executive format.
Pay
Salary range: $24 - $38 hourly (based on course requirements and level of education).
This is a temporary, non-benefits-eligible role. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
