Job Responsibilities
- Teach curricula in accordance with Motorcycle Safety Foundation and State Tech guidelines.
- Achieve desired results through assessment and evaluation of students and adaptation of coaching techniques.
- Present information in group settings and coach one-on-one.
- Conduct classroom instruction and range (riding) coaching.
- Complete course administrative paperwork using electronic and physical means.
- Maintain appropriate course documentation and prepare DMV documentation for students.
- Perform pre-ride (T-CLOCS) checks and related light motorcycle maintenance.
- Maintain clean facilities.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Regular operation of college vehicles.
- Valid South Carolina Driver’s license with an acceptable 10-year driving record.
- High School Diploma and current certification by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to teach the Basic Rider Curriculum.
- Experience with the safe operation of motorcycles.
- The ability to correctly and safely demonstrate the full range of motorcycle functions as outlined in the course curriculum.
- Moderate physical exertion, including standing for extended periods, operating and maneuvering motorcycles, lifting and moving equipment, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Quick movement and reaction time for safety situations.
Additional Requirements
- Standing for extended periods during training sessions.
- Walking around training ranges and classrooms.
- Demonstrating motorcycle riding techniques.
- Pushing, lifting, or stabilizing motorcycles.
- Assisting students with maneuvering motorcycles.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching curricula in accordance with Motorcycle Safety Foundation and State Tech guidelines.
