About the Role

The Palmer School within the College of Education, Information and Technology at LIU seeks candidates with expertise in library science or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level courses in library science or related areas
• Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees
• Engage in scholarly activities such as publishing research and presenting at conferences
• Provide service to the broader academic community

Requirements

• Masters degree in Library Science or related field
• Doctoral degree preferred
• Experience teaching at the graduate level
• Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students

Skills

• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in library science
• Effective instructional design and delivery
• Experience with educational technology
