About the role
Muskegon Community College seeks qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors. The pools are for future teaching opportunities as part-time instructors in various departments.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and facilitating student learning
- Commitment to student recruitment, retention, and success
- Assessment of learning, development of curriculum, and use of instructional delivery modes
- Instruct assigned courses, including day, night, and online classes
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment
- Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning
- Grade assignments meaningfully to promote student growth
- Return graded assignments and assign final grades in a timely manner
- Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment
- Encourage student opinion survey completion and review results for improving student success
- Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training
Requirements
- Master's Degree in discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline
- Teaching experience at the college level preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
- Experience with instructional technology preferred
Qualifications
- Compliance training or equivalent
- Standing, walking, sitting, carrying up to 10 lbs., up to 25 lbs., and up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to adjust and focus work environment
