Adjunct Pool CIS Instructor

About the role

Muskegon Community College seeks qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors. Applications are accepted for those interested in teaching in the future as part-time instructors for various departments.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses including day, night, and online classes at the main campus and extension centers.
• Facilitate student learning and establish an effective learning environment.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning.
• Grade assignments meaningfully to promote student growth and return graded assignments promptly.
• Assign final grades for all students within institutional deadlines.
• Provide educational assistance during regularly scheduled and appointment-based times.
• Encourage student participation in opinion surveys and review results to improve student success.
• Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience in industry.
• Teaching experience at the college level.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with instructional technology.
