About the role
Muskegon Community College seeks qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors. Applications are accepted for those interested in teaching in the future as part-time instructors for various departments.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses including day, night, and online classes at the main campus and extension centers.
- Facilitate student learning and establish an effective learning environment.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning.
- Grade assignments meaningfully to promote student growth and return graded assignments promptly.
- Assign final grades for all students within institutional deadlines.
- Provide educational assistance during regularly scheduled and appointment-based times.
- Encourage student participation in opinion surveys and review results to improve student success.
- Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least two years of professional experience in industry.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
- Experience with instructional technology.
