Seattle University’s Physics Department is inviting applications for two part-time adjunct faculty positions for the 2026-27 academic year.
About the roles
- Position 1: Teach one section of algebra-based introductory mechanics (PHYS 1050) in Fall Quarter and two sections of introductory physics laboratory in each of Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.
- Position 2: Teach four sections of introductory physics laboratory in Fall Quarter only.
Instructors must be available on campus for in-person instruction and office hours.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in physics or a related discipline; or bachelor’s degree plus three years of graduate study in physics.
- Demonstrated interest or experience teaching at the college level.

Pay
Compensation range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; final salary will be determined by candidate qualifications, departmental budget, internal equity, and market data.
