Adjunct- Physics

About the role

Malcolm X College is seeking part-time faculty to teach Physics. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in the classroom and are committed to the college's mission.

Responsibilities

• Create courses aligned with learning outcomes to promote active student participation.
• Foster a learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and problem-solving.

• Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physics or Master’s degree in Engineering Physics with relevant teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of the Brightspace Learning Management system preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population.
  • A commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

  Benefits

  Salary range: $800-$943 per contact hour.
