Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable of program goals and clinical objectives.
- Be knowledgeable of the Typhon clinical evaluation system and online learning platform (CANVAS) or have a willingness to learn both systems.
- Provides clinical and/or laboratory instruction to students in the dental hygiene program.
- Provides supervision over the student in the clinical/lab setting.
- Keeps attendance and assigns students in their clinical rotations.
- Implements the Typhon clinical tracking program during all clinical experiences.
- Evaluates student clinical/lab skills utilizing the program evaluation forms.
- Provides constructive feedback to students regarding overall progress.
- Affords a positive learning environment for student development and success.
- Participates in the adjunct faculty conferences and dental hygiene program meetings.
- Participates in the outcomes assessment process.
- Adheres to contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CODA accredited education program in Dental Hygiene.
- Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Dental Hygiene or related area.
- Current NJ Dental Hygiene license required.
- Minimum of five years of current clinical experience.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Rates and Benefits
- Adjunct rates range from $950 to $960.
- The pay rates are $950 for a Bachelor's and $960 for a Master's.
