Adjunct - Nursing Certificate Program - Nurse Aide Training Program

Compensation

$55.88 per contact hour
Contact Hour: Two hours equals one contact hour
Hours: Maximum of 12 contact hours per week

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a closely related field
• At least two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse
• Current Ohio RN licensure in good standing
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Prior teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses as scheduled
• Designs curriculum embracing diversity, fostering talent in students, and modeling inclusive teaching strategies
• Identifies and responds to students' academic or other needs through appropriate resources
• Uses technology appropriately and communicates clear expectations regarding its use
• Maintains accurate records and submits grades in accordance with departmental and college policies
• Distributes and maintains accurate syllabi incorporating departmental, college, cross-college, and instructor requirements
• Counsels students on academic and personal matters
• Engages in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development
• Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, student and faculty interaction, and learner support
• Encourages a sense of community among students for learning both inside and outside the classroom
• Refers students to appropriate student and academic support services available at the College or in the community
