Primary Responsibilities

Teach Spanish Basic and Intermediate courses (MLSP101, MLSP102, MLSP201, and MLSP202).

Create an effective classroom environment that fosters student’s curiosities and abilities to practice their language skills.

Delivers course content that meets learning outcomes and encourage student’s active participation in the classroom and beyond.

Promote the study of languages.

Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision.

Hold office hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MA required.
  • Native or near-native competency in Spanish is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD preferred.

Pay

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509. For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course. Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
