Adjunct Lecturer or Adjunct Assistant Professor – Communication Arts & Sciences (multiple positions)
About the role
Bronx Community College is seeking to hire Adjunct Faculty to teach a variety of courses including Fundamentals of Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking and Critical Listening, Intercultural Communication, Introduction to Film, World Cinema, Introduction to Mass Communication, Introduction to Theatre, Voice & Diction, and others.
Responsibilities
- Courses may be taught in the day, evening, or during the weekend.
- In-person teaching is likely to be required.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent for Adjunct Assistant Professor.
- Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise for Adjunct Lecturer.
- The ability to teach successfully and prior college teaching experience for both titles.
- A Master's degree in area(s) of expertise, the ability to teach successfully, and prior college teaching experience are preferred for Adjunct Lecturer.
Qualifications

- Adjunct Lecturer: $112.50 per hour
- Adjunct Assistant Professor: $120.83 per hour
