Position Overview
The Department of Physical Sciences at Benedictine University seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate chemistry courses in lecture and laboratory formats. Courses cover multiple sub-disciplines and can be delivered on-campus or online.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an MS in Chemistry or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience

Physical Requirements
- Regular talking and hearing
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling tasks

Training Requirements
- Employees must complete all University-required and OSHA-mandated training, delivered online or in person.
Compensation & Benefits
- Rate Colleges & Universities: $1,400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree), $1,200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree)
- Compensation is per contact hour and may vary based on class size.
