About the Role
This foundational course serves primarily first-year undergraduate students pursuing degrees in nursing, dental hygiene, and neuroscience, and plays a vital role in preparing future healthcare professionals. This Position Offers The Opportunity To Engage Closely With Motivated Students In a Supportive And Collaborative Department. The Successful Candidate Will Teach Both Lecture And Laboratory Components In Person On The Weston Campus.
Responsibilities
- Lecture: Monday & Wednesday, 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM
- Laboratory sections: Tuesday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM and Thursday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM
- Classes begin August 31, 2026. Lab sessions start the second week of the semester.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: An earned MS in Chemistry; PhDs preferred.
- Previous teaching experience (lectures and labs) at the undergraduate level preferred.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
- Ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.
- Familiarity with academic assessment.
