About the role

The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking qualified individuals to teach in-person Undergraduate courses for Introduction of Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics during the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in-person undergraduate courses for Introduction of Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics.
  • Deliver courses on schedule: August 31st to December 18th, 2026.
  • Teach in an in-person, on-campus modality.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred.
  • College teaching experience is preferred, although related work experience may be considered.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to deliver the course in-person on campus.

Skills

  • Experience in teaching economics at the undergraduate level.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex economic theories and concepts.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Minimum $5,000 per 4-credit course, minimum $3,750 per lab section.
  • Internal equity and market considerations will determine the actual pay offered.

Schedule

  • An Introduction of Economics (ECO1201): Tuesday/Thursday 3:00PM - 4:50PM
  • Intermediate Microeconomics (ECO2201): Tuesday/Thursday 10:20AM - 12:10PM
