Job Description Summary

Bentley University’s UX Certificate Program is always interested in learning about qualified candidates for future openings. Based on the needs of the UX Certificare Program, we will actively source candidates from this applicant pool when hiring needs arise.

About the Role

The UX Certificate Program Adjunct teaches a 2 day course, always held on Thursday-Friday from 9-5 pm. The course subject depends on your background and experience. We have a list of courses we offer and are open to new ideas for course topics. The instructor will need to develop a curriculum and slideshow presentation for the course, as well prepare an out-of-class assignment for the students to complete after the class has ended.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a curriculum and slideshow presentation for the course
  • Create an out-of-class assignment for students
  • Teach a 2-day course on Thursday-Friday from 9-5 pm
  • Teach based on the needs of the UX Certificare Program

Requirements

  • A minimum of seven years managing UX teams in a consulting or product development organization
  • A master’s degree in human factors or HCI

Qualifications

  • Ability to teach a 2-day course on Thursday-Friday from 9-5 pm
  • Experience developing curricula and slide presentations
  • Experience teaching UX principles and practices

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with UX design tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Pay

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509. For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course. Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.

Schedule

The course is held on Thursday-Friday from 9-5 pm.
