About the role

Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment adds the applicant to a pool available to the departmental search committee for consideration when a need arises during the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool on an as‑needed basis. If a review of your qualifications leads to a decision to pursue your candidacy, you will be contacted.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the approved discipline.
• Provide instruction that facilitates student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for assigned courses.
• Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom.
• Create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit).
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
• Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications promptly.
• Assess student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion.
• Maintain ethical and professional behavior.
• Be available to students by appointment.
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings.
