Adjunct Instructor Pool – Online Professional Development for Educators (OPDE)
Department and/or College Description
The OPDE program is a collaboration between the Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Department and Stout Online at UW-Stout. The OPDE program offers fully online, graduate level professional development courses and certificate programs designed for working adults and educators seeking to advance their careers in areas such as Instructional Design, Mathematics Instruction, and Reading Instruction. Many OPDE courses can be applied towards teaching license renewal or used as electives for UW-Stout degree programs. The OPDE program’s curriculum is designed and taught by experienced practitioners and instructors at UW-Stout, and across the country.
Qualifications
- Minimal/Required Qualifications: Doctorate in relevant field of course(s) or Master’s Degree in relevant field + 5 years of relevant professional experience Professional experience in areas of expertise (Instructional Design, Mathematics Specialist, Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, etc.)
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience teaching or facilitating online courses for adult learners Proficiency in online learning management systems (Canvas, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong written and interpersonal skills Fluency in oral and written English communication
