Austin Peay State University is currently seeking part-time, temporary, adjunct instructors in the area of Healthcare Administration.
About the role
The Department of Health & Human Performance serves approximately 600 majors in five undergraduate concentrations: Applied Exercise Science, Health, Public Health Care Management, Human Movement, and K-12 Teaching. In addition, approximately 60 students are in the Master of Science program: Sport and Wellness Leadership; Public Health Education; and Master of Healthcare Administration.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Health Care Economics, Health Care Finance, Strategic Planning and Policy, or Public Health Law.
- Participate in departmental activities and initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Health Care Economics, Health Care Finance, Strategic Planning and Policy, or Public Health Law.
- Ability to teach effectively and engage students.
- Commitment to student success and professional development.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
