About the role
The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures within the College of Arts and Sciences at Seton Hall University seeks applicants for an adjunct professor position in Arabic. The position is open as a pool posting and applications will be held onto for two years.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction and evaluation of students in various levels of Arabic courses.
- Create and administer assignments and tests, following Department guidelines.
- Maintain accurate student records in Canvas and follow all deadlines for timely submission of grades.
- Attend any meetings pertinent to the instructor.
- Participate in Department events as needed.
- Specific duties depend on the course. Most courses meet twice a week with one to two office hours. Adjuncts also have the opportunity to provide a few paid hours of tutoring each week.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher
- Fluency in Arabic
- Experience teaching Arabic
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher preferred, but not required
- Ability to incorporate technology into instruction and provide a well-rounded, interactive learning experience for students

Pay
$3,600 for Master's/$3,900 for PhD per course taught, depending on credentials.
