Adjunct Instructor of Arabic
About the role
The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Union College is seeking candidates for an open position of Adjunct Instructor in Arabic to teach Basic Arabic 1 course this Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach Basic Arabic 1 course in person on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule with 65-minute class sessions over a 10-week term, including an additional week for scheduled exams.
- Schedule 3 office hours per week.
- Teach according to the course syllabus and assignments provided by the department.
Requirements
- Minimum a Master’s degree in Arabic or a closely-related field.
- Experience in teaching college-level courses.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic.
Qualifications
- Submit a CV and any other information about Arabic language teaching experience (e.g., sample syllabi, sample assignments).
