Adjunct Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium

About the role
This part-time position will provide applied instruction to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in music beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly 50-minute applied lessons in tuba and euphonium.
- Teach a weekly 50-minute studio class for all tuba and euphonium students.
- Recruit and retain outstanding students to the Department of Music.
- Assist with student auditions, placement hearings, and juries as requested.
- Collaborate with faculty and ensemble directors to support student artistic development.
- Maintain regular communication with students and submit grades and assessments in accordance with university policies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Music or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success as a performer and teacher of tuba and/or euphonium.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Music.
- College-level teaching experience.
- Evidence of successful student recruitment and mentorship.
