About the Role

The Department of Dance and Theatre seeks qualified individuals to teach fundamental dance and theatre technique, acting, and technical design courses. The anticipated need is for instructors with a Master's or Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance or Theatre fields. A terminal degree in the discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach fundamental dance and theatre technique, acting, and technical design courses.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with course objectives.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and incorporate relevant material into teaching.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements

  • M.A. or M.F.A. in Dance or Theatre fields.
  • Experience teaching in Higher Education.
  • Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
