Adjunct Instructor- Music [Wise County Campus]

Position Summary

This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males between the ages of 18 through 25 must be properly registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the approved discipline
• Provide instruction to facilitate student acquisition of specific learning outcomes
• Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom
• Create and maintain an effective learning environment in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online, dual credit)
• Engage in instructional preparation and provide timely feedback to students
• Assess student performance and submit final grades in a timely manner
• Maintain ethical and professional behavior
• Be available to students by appointment
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings
• Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels
• Complete any required training
• Perform other related duties as assigned
