The Adjunct Instructor - Medical Laboratory Science - Immunohematology Instruction position is available at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. This is a temporary part-time position with potential for ongoing employment based on performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and lab instruction in the medical laboratory science program.
- Maintain regularly posted office hours at times convenient for students.
- Participate in program meetings.
- Develop and maintain skills in a variety of teaching/learning methodologies, including online course instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical lab.
- Certification as MLS (ASCP) or NCA (CLS).
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching immunohematology in an accredited MLS program.
- Master's degree in MLS or related field preferred.
Skills
- Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse backgrounds.

Pay
The salary range is from $1,353 per credit hour with a minimum increase to $1,458 for those holding an advanced degree in the primary academic discipline. Salary is commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT Agreement.
