Adjunct Instructor - Mathematics
JOB SUMMARY
This announcement is to assist in the building a pool of candidates for upcoming adjunct (part-time) opportunities within the Mathematics Program in the Department of Natural and Computational Sciences. Currently, we are recruiting for adjunct faculty to teach courses in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, Elementary Statistics, Physics I, Physics II, Introduction to Linear Algebra, and any additional courses as needed by the Program. Courses will be offered in in-person, hybrid, and/or online modalities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach undergraduate level Mathematics and related courses in a face-to-face, online, or hybrid format.
- Teach courses as assigned by the Department Chair and maintain University policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master's Degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills and teamwork.
- 2-3 years of experience at the university level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in teaching in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, Elementary Statistics, Physics I, Physics II, and/or Introduction to Linear Algebra.
