Adjunct Instructor – Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management
Job Summary
The Department of Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (MISSCM) at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions. Areas of need include undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Applied AI and Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Applied AI and Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity.
- Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices relevant to teaching areas.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in management information systems, supply chain management, or related fields, or a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.
Qualifications
- Strong teaching skills and ability to engage students effectively.
- Experience in the field of management information systems, supply chain management, or related areas.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple courses and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
Benefits
While these positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible, individual positions may become benefits-eligible based on course load - which may vary depending on departmental need.
Pay
Salary is established on a per-course basis.
Schedule
Hours and schedule will vary based on departmental needs and course load.
