About the role
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
- Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
- Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
- Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
- Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
- Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
- Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
- Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Reading, Literacy or English with at least three graduate hours in Developmental Education, Reading or Literacy or Bachelor's degree in English, Language Arts or Literacy and one year of secondary Reading teaching experience.
- Preferred qualifications include college level teaching experience and knowledge, skills and abilities such as knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching, effective communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Pay
Rate of Pay: $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour
