Adjunct Instructor in the School of Allied Health

About the role

Heidelberg University is accepting resumes for an adjunct pool in the health sciences, specifically in the fields of Health Science and Athletic Training. An Adjunct Instructor in the School of Allied Health provides part-time, as-needed instruction to undergraduate students in exercise science and/or health science courses. Teaching formats may include in-person, hybrid, and online, with varied class times that may include evenings based on program needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in exercise science and/or health science during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, assigned based on candidate expertise and qualifications.
• Deliver instruction in-person, online, or hybrid formats as needed.
• Utilize innovative and collaborative teaching methods aligned with the School’s mission and learning objectives.
• Perform additional duties as outlined in the Faculty Manual.

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s Degree or appropriate professional experience in a related field.
• Teaching/instructional experience.

Preferred

• Ph.D. or ABD in a related field.
• Documented background in the related instructional area.
• Two years of college-level teaching experience.
