- Counseling-related coursework for the non-licensure MA in Community Counseling (Human Services) program
Status
Part-time appointments are made on an ongoing basis and are contingent upon instructional needs each semester.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Bible, Theology, or Ministry at the undergraduate level
- An earned doctorate within the appropriate field for the graduate programs
- Experience teaching Bible/Theology/Ministry courses or Counseling-related course at the college or graduate level
- Commitment to high quality instruction in a learner-centered environment
- Demonstrated skill in effective written and oral communications
- Demonstrated literacy in information technology and computer use including the ability to teach online or in a hybrid modality
- Willingness to become proficient using the Learning Management System (LMS known as CANVAS)
- Commitment to the Christian faith and the University’s mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and personal involvement in a local church
- Affirmation of the Christian and Missionary Alliance theological and policy positions with preference given to those who are appropriate licensed and/or ordained within the CMA

- Supervise employees in accordance with Simpson University policies and procedures (for supervisory positions)
- Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area
- Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor
Compensation
Payment for instruction follows a pro-rated structure when a class has less than ten students. The compensation schedule is available as public information. The University may elect to cancel low enrollment courses.
