Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to students
  • Instruct an assigned course, providing syllabi and other instructional materials
  • Use of College learning management systems to deliver instruction
  • Prepare and deliver course materials (lectures, labs, assignments, assessments) in alignment with departmental learning goals
  • Maintain course records, grade assignments, and submit final grades in a timely manner
  • Provide students with regular feedback on performance and be available during office hours or by appointment
  • Adhere to departmental and college policies and deadlines
  • Cook with course coordinators and laboratory staff as needed

Requirements

  • A graduate degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience within the field of Chemistry

Physical and Other Requirements

  • May require standing for long periods of time
  • May require talking for long periods of time
  • May require carrying course materials

  • Official transcripts from all graduate-level institutions at which the candidate studied and/or from which the candidate obtained a degree
  • Current curriculum vitae that includes evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness, as well as courses developed and/or taught
  • Two letters of professional reference

Pay

$2490-3450, depending on degree and lecture/lab taught

Schedule

The 15-week semester schedule, from late-August through mid-December
