This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position in the Strategic Management & Operations department. Course assignments may vary by semester and may include daytime, evening, online, hybrid, or in-person sections depending on departmental needs.
About the role
Adjunct instructors will teach undergraduate courses in Data Analytics, helping students develop practical analytical skills used in business and organizational decision-making. Courses may include topics such as data preparation, spreadsheet analysis, data visualization, statistical analysis, and the interpretation and communication of data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Data Analytics in accordance with established course objectives and curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, applied instruction using appropriate analytical tools and technologies.
- Help students develop proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data.
- Evaluate student learning through assignments, projects, examinations, and other assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain appropriate course records, grades, and learning-management-system materials.
- Communicate effectively with students and department faculty.
- Follow university policies, procedures, and academic standards.
Requirements
- A master’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Graduate degree must be in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics concepts, methods, and tools.
- Ability to communicate technical and quantitative concepts effectively to undergraduate students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous college or university teaching experience.
- Professional experience applying data analytics in a business or organizational setting.
- Experience with one or more commonly used analytics tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience teaching applied, project-based analytics.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

- Explain quantitative and analytical concepts clearly to students with varying levels of technical experience.
- Connect analytical techniques to practical business problems and decision-making.
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Use current data analytics technologies and instructional methods.
