About the role

The Department of Criminal Justice seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applications at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include, but are not limited to, teaching the following courses:

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, teaching the listed courses.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in the discipline or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).
  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience teaching Criminal Justice courses.
  • Experience teaching online courses.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in the discipline or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university, experience teaching Criminal Justice courses, and experience teaching online courses.

Skills

Skills required for this position include effective communication, ability to teach a variety of Criminal Justice courses, and proficiency in online teaching platforms.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and discipline, in accordance with university guidelines and available funding.
