Adjunct Instructor - Criminal Justice
Primary Responsibilities
Create courses to meet learning outcomes and promote active student engagement.
Foster a learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
Use various assessments to evaluate student progress and align with learning objectives.
Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals.
Model respect and confidence in all students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance academic and professional communities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or J.D.
- Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of staff and students.
- Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population.
- Commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
- Able and willing to teach in-person.

Pay
The salary range is as follows per contact hour based on education:
- Master's - $800
- Master's +30 - $837
- Doctorate/Terminal (including MFA) - $943
