About the role

The Department of Conducting & Ensembles seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applications at any time. This posting is for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses will develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is to Teach our 3-semester long choral literature sequence. In the other semester, teach a conducting class for MM students in conducting and related field conducting students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach our 3-semester long choral literature sequence.
  • In the other semester, teach a conducting class for MM students in conducting and related field conducting students.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in choral conducting with knowledge of choral literature or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).
  • Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
