Adjunct Instructor - Clinical Nursing

Position Information

The Nursing Department is accepting applications for Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructors. These applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as clinical needs arise. Clinical assignments could be for any of the following Nursing courses: Fundamentals, Pediatrics, Maternal Health/OM, Mental and Community Health, Adult Med/Surg. Adjunct applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Submission of an application places candidates in an applicant pool for consideration as instructional needs arise. Positions are offered based on course availability, enrollment, and departmental needs. Applicants will be contacted only if an instructional assignment becomes available and their qualifications align with the course requirements.

• Contributing a collegial, collaborative, and positive attitude to students and colleagues
• Understanding and conveying the essentials of the profession that students should master
• Maintaining high academic standards while demonstrating equitability and fairness
• Working successfully and productively in a team environment with full time faculty
• Performing the necessary duties on an adjunct instructor to ensure quality instruction
• Grading student work and documenting assessments of student performance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing and equivalent of 2 years full-time work in clinical practice
• Must be licensed as an RN in Illinois, be CPR certified, with teaching experience preferred
• Must be able to work on your feet for 8-12 hours
