Adjunct Instructor - Clinical Medical Assistant Program

About the role

Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. This is a continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying adds the applicant to a pool from which the hiring manager draws as needed for the academic year. Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the assigned discipline.
• Provide instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes for assigned courses.
• Mentor students inside and outside the classroom.
• Create and maintain an effective learning environment in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit modalities.
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures.
• Maintain good rapport with students.
• Be flexible to teach day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
• Ensure students are prepared for the National Healthcareer Association certification exam.
• Provide hands‑on training in clinical lab skills (general patient care, vitals, EKG, basic phlebotomy, office support skills).
• Administer and grade student assignments and exams.
