Adjunct Instructor, Chemistry (Dual Enrollment)

Responsibilities

The Dual Enrollment Chemistry Instructor teaches college-level chemistry courses at Gaffney High School in accordance with the partnering college's curriculum and academic standards.

• planning and delivering instruction
• conducting laboratory activities
• assessing student learning
• maintaining accurate grades and attendance
• providing timely feedback to students
• ensuring a safe laboratory environment
• following all college and high school policies
• utilizing the college's learning management system
• maintaining required course documentation

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemistry or a master's degree in a closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching chemistry at the high school or college level
• Experience with dual enrollment instruction
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and college learning management systems
