Adjunct Instructor: Business Law
The Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law at the University of North Texas invites applications for adjunct instructor positions for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses and responsibilities may vary from semester to semester.
About the Role
This position involves teaching and/or assisting with instruction of courses in business law. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a current law license. Prior industry experience, teaching experience at the university level, and proficiency with Canvas or similar online teaching platforms are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in business law
- Assist with instruction of business law courses
- Develop and maintain course materials
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees
- Maintain current knowledge of legal developments relevant to business law
Requirements
- J.D. Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- A current law license
- Experience teaching business law at the university level
- Experience using Canvas or similar online teaching platforms
