The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for Term-Adjunct (part-time) faculty positions.

About the Role

Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials. BME is seeking qualified professionals and educators to be included in the general pool of candidates for Term Adjunct Instructor positions as needed. Courses range from undergraduate to graduate levels (master's and doctoral).

Responsibilities

  • Teach or co-teach BME courses, assigned on a semester-by-semester basis.
  • Coordinate with other Biomedical Engineering faculty members for alignment of coursework with the overall BME curriculum.
  • Meet with students as needed, through office hours or other specified availability.
  • Submit grades for all students enrolled in courses.

Requirements

  • Obtained a Master’s or PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Research and teaching experience in Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

  • Research and teaching experience in Biomedical Engineering or related fields.

Pay

Compensation is based on experience.

Schedule

Appointments are renewed based on departmental need and teaching performance. Classes may be day or evening.
