Adjunct Instructor, Accounting and Finance - WVU Tech (Beckley)

About the role

The School of Business at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) is seeking part-time adjunct faculty members for Accounting and Finance. Positions are available year-round and are not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person and/or online courses for the undergraduate programs in the School of Business.
• Accounting position requires a master’s degree in accounting or accounting information systems, or a PhD in Accounting. A JD may be accepted for specific course needs.
• Finance position requires a master’s or doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline, with evidence of effective teaching.

Requirements

• Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent for the Accounting position.
• Doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related field for the Finance position.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of full-time professional work experience in the course content area for both positions.
• Relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE) for the Accounting position.

• Strong commitment to student success.
